The brand which was initially designed for Men has pushed the fashion envelope even further with its venture into Women’s clothing. Akhilesh is a contemporary line known for its sophisticated silhouettes. Every piece of apparel is designed and created to accentuate your move in comfort and style. Akhilesh’s collection is a favourite amongst both commoners and celebrities alike. And to mark this memorable day, the event was braced by popular faces of the Indian Cricket Team like Mr. Virendra Sehwag, Mr. Gautam Gambhir and Mr. Ashish Nehra, all of whom were accompanied by their spouses. Mr. Virendra Sehwag took it a step further by wearing one of Akhilesh’s collections which was a huge moment of pride for Mr. Akhilesh Pahwa.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Pahwa said -“The last five years was a remarkable journey of creativity and Style and it could not have culminated in a better way than tonight. I feel extremely honoured and humbled at the presence of these great people who have made our country proud time and again. And today I feel one of them. I would specially like to thank Mr. Sehwag for honouring me by wearing one of my designs. I try to design for them because they are our real heroes.” The ace cricketer was also seen to reciprocate to the Designer by saying – “The privilege is all mine. It is always fun to make fashion statements every now and then amidst wearing our jerseys on the field. While that is an honour, this is relaxation.” “And besides, it gives us an opportunity to wear designer outfits”, he remarked in a friendly banter. Mr. Virendra Sehwag’s wife was also adorned in a beautiful gown designed by Akhilesh.
Akhilesh’s brand portfolio now includes a range of versatile designs from high-end trousseau to celebrity wardrobes. His latest addition has been his range of bespoke tailoring for added comfort. After a formal training in Design, Akhilesh launched his own brand, ‘Akhilesh’ in 2010. Continuously setting higher benchmarks for himself, Akhilesh opened his first International design studio in Dubai.
