Nutan Thakur : Police Inspector Gomtinagar, Lucknow has sent a notice to my husband IPS officer Amitabh Thakur calling him responsible for the thefts in the area. In the notice SHO Gomtinagar has said that his house was checked on 26 July and it was found that he leaves his house unattended after locking his door which is resulting in thefts taking place in large numbers after breaking locks.
Hence he warned Amitabh that in view of the rapidly increasing crimes, if must ensure complete security arrangement of his house and give cooperation to the police through installing CCTV cameras, providing private security guards etc. Inspector also warned that if police cooperation is not done, Amitabh will be held solely responsible for any incidence of theft taking place in his house.
Amitabh Thakur has written a letter to SSP Lucknow calling these an effort to run away from their responsibility and trying to play the blame-game in an improper manner. He said that such notices might be used by police for tying up with criminals to undertake criminal acts and hence sought immediate stopping of such notices.
