FedEx Ranked in Great Place to Work® Top 20 in India

Delhi, July 14, 2015—FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), has been recognized among the top 20 best companies to work for in India by the Great Place to Work® Institute.  FedEx outdid its previous year’s ranking by placing 14th in the list of best companies to work for and 2nd among companies in the transportation industry.

The survey is India’s largest annual study of workplace excellence and is based on confidential employee feedback and an audit of management processes by the Great Place to Work® Institute.  More than 550 organizations undertook the assessment this year to contribute to the recognition of the best workplaces across India.

FedEx Express was acknowledged for the following special categories in India:

·         Best Companies for Employee Participation and Involvement

·         Best Companies for Developing People Managers

·         Best Companies for Hiring and Welcoming

"I’m extremely proud to announce that FedEx has once again secured a place among the top 20 companies in India.  Being recognized as one of India’s best workplaces is a testament to our work culture and policies. This ranking also motivates team members to exceed every expectation,” said David Ross, regional president, FedEx Express, Middle East, Indian Subcontinent & Africa (MEISA).

“We believe that our people are our biggest asset, and we ensure we provide them a positive, rewarding work environment that nurtures their personal and professional growth.  I dedicate this award to our team members at FedEx Express who have contributed to making this achievement possible through their enthusiasm and commitment.  The mutual trust, cooperation and support demonstrated by the employees in our organization are what make our company a truly great place to work,” he added.

“The ‘People-Service-Profit’ (P-S-P) philosophy is the foundation upon which FedEx operates. The company makes every effort to uphold the P-S-P culture, which is based upon the strong belief that team members must come first, not only because it is the right thing to do, but because it is good business practice.  When the needs of our people are taken care of, they in turn will serve our customers passionately and make every FedEx experience outstanding,” said Ross.

FedEx continually strives to deliver exceptional customer experiences and believes its team members are vital to that process.  Those who demonstrate excellent performance by going above and beyond their set roles and responsibilities are regularly recognized and rewarded.  The process of creating and maintaining an environment that brings out the best in its most important resource—its people—is what allows FedEx to maintain its reputation as a great place to work in India, and worldwide.
