Debabrata Maji of Mechanical Engineering Department of North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Nirjuli (Itanagar), Arunachal Pradesh has been conferred with the most prestigious “UWA LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD’ for his praiseworthy services, amazing manner and enduring excellence that he has contributed towards the welfare of the people not only in his professional capacity but also in his individual capacity and the noble example he has set for his peers and entire community.
The lifetime achievement is perhaps the highest accolade obtainable as it does not define a singular moment or achievement, but the cumulative success of an entire life …the very pinnacle of distinction. This award has been conferred upon Debabrata Maji through a glittering function held at Hotel Savera, Chennai on May 24, 2016 during Second Frank Moreas Oration Lecture on ‘Leadership paradigms in our progress to a knowledge economy: the changing landscape’ by Chief Guest Principal Scientific Adviser to Government of India Dr. R. Chidambaram in presence of Executive Director of Tamilnadu Science and Technology Centre Dr. P. Iyamperumal and other distinguished personalities. This award is constituted by United Writers’ Association, Chennai.
In earlier, Debabrata Maji had also conferred with several similar accolades like World Lifetime Achievement Award by United Cultural Organization, USA linked with the United Nations Education Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO); Lifetime Education Excellence Award by All India Business Development Association, New Delhi; Rajiv Gandhi Lifetime Achievement Award by Kanpur based Seemapuri Times Magazine and Samrat Ashok Lifetime Achievement Award by Uttar Pradesh based Samrat Chandragupta Maurya Educational Society.
